Tucked Away Campground began as a simple idea: create a space where people could step off the highway and into something slower, quieter, and genuinely restorative. What started as a handful of sites has grown into a beloved mountain haven — but the spirit hasn't changed.

Perched on Canada Road in Tuckasegee, our campground sits at the edge of old-growth forest and rolling Appalachia. The creek runs clear year-round. The pines hold the mist until noon. And the stars — on a clear night, they press so close you'd swear you could reach up and brush them aside.
